It is an interesting set of graphics, no doubt. But, you have to wonder about use of statistics where the measure is simply on “the mention” of the topic at hand. I guess you could say that relates to “buzz” and in show business, “buzz” is a good thing even when it is bad. For instance, the graphs at the bottom show that Facebook is all a-buzz about Obama with 64.93%… I wonder if this measures the number of memes (photos) that show something negative about Obama, and whether the graph author would think that adds any meaning to his graph. Whether the 64% is made up primarily of negative mentions, or positive mentions, would be of interest. Simply knowing how often he is mentioned really doesn’t help the audience interpret this data at all… Just my opinion.
