Raw Milk vs. Pasteurized Milk Read 2 comments I’m all for increasing the availability of raw milk, however, this is painfully inaccurate. Raw milk still contains lactose, and lactose is not an enzyme, it is a sugar. Suggesting raw milk is inherently better is unfounded. Cows that produce raw milk can just as easily be treated with hormones and antibiotics. Similarly, the cows producing pasteurized milk can be hormone, gmo, and antibiotic free. Pasteurization is a process of heating and sterilizing the milk and doesn’t necessarily coincide with any of the above. Good to hear a counterargument. I drink both raw and pasteurized milk and even sterilized milk. Doesn’t bother me. But it’s interesting to know more backgrounds. As longs as the facts are straight, that is.
